AOPA Working for You

New Sessions, Celebrations, Attendee Input Shape 2007 National Assembly

AOPA staff and the clinical sessions workgroup have been poring over clinical and business abstracts as part of the planning for the 2007 AOPA National Assembly (Sept. 17-20, The Venetian, Las Vegas). The detailed review process of clinical and business abstracts is designed to bring attendees the latest research findings and business knowledge from O&P leaders. In addition to brand-new clinical sessions, there will be fresh topics in the popular “Top 10” series.

AOPA staff is also currently taking suggestions from future attendees regarding all aspects of the Assembly. If you have suggestions or ideas for the 2007 AOPA National Assembly, e-mail them to assembly@AOPAnet.org

The 2007 Assembly will be especially memorable, as it marks AOPA’s 90th birthday. Celebrations include a 90th birthday party in the exhibit hall and a “Walk Through Time” exhibit, showcasing the developments, changes and breakthroughs in O&P during the past 90 years.

The exhibit hall is also the place to see a limited edition 2007 Harley-Davidson motorcycle (courtesy of Branier Orthopedic and Arizona AFO), which will be raffled off during the Assembly as part of the birthday celebration. This raffle will benefit Capitol Connection, an account that funds special studies to advance legislative and regulatory initiatives, O&P Political Action Committee activities, the O&P Policy Forum and publications designed to keep AOPA members informed about government relations.
