AOPA Creates Online O&P Product Resource
AOPA recently launched the O&P Yellow Pages, a comprehensive guide to the latest O&P products and services. Created as a one-stop Web resource for O&P practitioners, the site allows viewers to peruse available O&P products from dozens of O&P suppliers.
The site is located at www.AOPAnet.org/opyellowpages.
AOPA decided to develop the O&P Yellow Pages late last year in response to the popularity of the annual O&P Almanac Buyer’s Guide and the AOPA Yearbook product listings.
AOPA staff spent over three months designing the O&P Yellow Pages Web site, making it as user-friendly as possible to ensure quick and simple access to a full list of O&P products.
On the main menu, viewers can search by the following categories: lab and clinical supplies, lab equipment, O&P service providers, orthotics, prosthetics and miscellaneous.
Each category provides several subcategories so that O&P practitioners can use the site to determine what, if any, products are available in their local area. The main menu also includes a listing of all AOPA supplier members.
AOPA staff spent significant time collecting information about O&P suppliers’ current and available products. Before the launch of the site, AOPA staff coordinated directly with the O&P suppliers to ensure all listings were complete and all contact information was correct.
The O&P Yellow Pages is constantly updated to provide practitioners with the most current information and to allow them to view what products each company has to offer. The site is designed so that O&P practitioners can quickly find the products best suited for their company and patients.
