O&P Product Finder Makes Searches Easy
AOPA wants to be your number-one resource for all things O&P! Toward this end, we have launched an exciting new feature on our Web site—the O&P Product Finder. This search engine is designed to help you find the O&P products you need quickly and easily. It is available already on the AOPA Web site and will be formally demonstrated at the Assembly in Las Vegas.
Product Finder is an online listing of O&P items, services and equipment in one easy-to-navigate system. This site is open to the general public, and will be useful for patients, practitioners and case managers looking for a given item, and for suppliers who want to enhance their company’s visibility.
Let’s say you want to search for extra-depth footwear. The Product Finder lets you search by keyword or by category. Type “extra-depth footwear” into the keyword field, or click on the relevant category link and view a list of suppliers. Call, e-mail, or visit the Web site of the different suppliers that your search brings up, until you find the diabetic shoe your patient needs.
You can also download the desktop search application, a small search window which will reside on your desktop, removing the need to go to the Web site each time.
To bring this new service to you, we are working with MultiView Inc., a publisher of electronic buyers’ guides and search engines. “It is a testimony to AOPA’s commitment to its membership that it recognizes the benefits of closely aligning members with suppliers. The O&P Product Finder will save members an incredible amount of time as they seek the products and services they are looking for,” says Dan Maitland, MultiView president.
Suppliers can get a basic listing for free. The enhanced listings, available for $395 per calendar year, display a company logo and a link to the company’s Web site. If you would like to have your company’s products or services represented on O&P Product Finder, please contact Ben Maitland at (972) 402-7025 or bmaitland@multiview.com.
