AOPA Provides Coding Advice with LCodeSearch.com
The first phase of LCodeSearch.com is under way! AOPA formally
launched the new Web site, www.LCodeSearch.com, at the Assembly in Las
Vegas Sept. 17-20.
AOPA brings you this online resource so that O&P practitioners can
easily match the products they need for a particular patient’s
treatment with a list of corresponding L codes, and manufacturers can
make sure their products are seen by the people who need them, when
they need them. Searches can be done by L code, manufacturer name, part
of anatomy, or product brand name.
Basic listings, which include company name, product name, product
identification or SKU number and L code, are free and unlimited, and
many are already on the site, from lists generated by SADMERC and the
AOPA Coding and Reimbursement Committee.
Manufacturers can purchase enhanced listings for between $1000 and
$1500 per year. Enhanced listings offer the features above, plus
detailed product descriptions, promotional text, up to two images of
the product, and a link to the company’s Web site.
During the first phase, LCodeSearch.com is available to AOPA member
manufacturers. In the second phase, member distributors will be
eligible, and in the third phase, non-member O&P manufacturers can
add products.
All product coding recommendations a manufacturer enters will be
reviewed by the AOPA Coding and Reimbursement Committee prior to
publication. Also, SADMERC coding decisions have authority over the
AOPA Committee as well as the manufacturer, if they should disagree.

AOPA member suppliers have already entered hundreds of products. Make sure your products are among them!
