Recognizing Emerging Leaders in Orthotics & Prosthetics

AOPA’s O&P Rising Stars initiative is designed to spotlight the innovative and trailblazing individuals shaping the future of O&P. These dynamic individuals are 35 or younger and are driving change, pushing boundaries, and demonstrating exceptional leadership in their work, whether in clinical care, research, education, advocacy, or industry advancement.

2026 O&P Rising Stars:

Nominations Open for 2027

Winners will receive a complimentary registration to the AOPA 2027 O&P Leadership Conference (taking place January 8-10 in Hilton Head, SC), where in addition to the Conference, they can participate in the Emerging Leaders Pre-Conference Workshop; complimentary housing for two nights at the Leadership Conference; and a 50% registration discount for the AOPA 2027 National Assembly, September 22-25 in Long Beach, CA.  They will also receive a certificate, recognition on the AOPA website, in the O& P Almanac, on AOPA’s social media, and acknowledgement at the Leadership Conference.

Eligibility Criteria

• Nominees should be actively involved in O&P and committed to its future growth and success.
• Nominee must be 35 or younger;
• Nominee must have demonstrated significant contributions to the O&P field;
• Nominees can come from any area of O&P, including but not limited to:
  • Clinical practice
  • Research and innovation
  • Advocacy and community outreach
  • Education and mentorship
  • Business administration
  • Industry leadership
• Nominees should be actively involved in O&P and committed to its future growth and success.
