Bio:
Shane Wurdeman, PhD, CP, FAAOP(D) is the Chief Clinical Officer for Hanger Clinic. He entered the field of P&O as a technician, and then transitioned to working as a prosthetist/orthotist, a researcher, and now his current role as Chief Clinical Officer. Dr. Wurdeman has co-authored more than 70 peer-reviewed manuscripts, 4 book chapters, and presented more than 100 conference abstracts within the field of orthotic and prosthetic rehabilitation. His research has been funded by multiple federal organizations including NIH, DOD, and NIDILRR. He is a 7x Thranhardt Lecture Award winner. He is a co-founder of the Orthotics and Prosthetics Foundation for Education and Research. He currently serves on the Board of Directors for the American Orthotic and Prosthetic Association. Shane lives in Austin with his wife and 2 kids.
