Sveinn Sölvason is the President and CEO of Embla Medical, a global leader in non-invasive orthopaedics, headquartered in Reykjavík, Iceland and listed on the NASDAQ Copenhagen Stock Exchange. As the President and CEO of Embla Medical, Sveinn leads a team of over 4,500 passionate team members across the world a mission to improve people’s mobility so they can enjoy a Life Without Limitations.
Before being appointed President and CEO of Embla Medical in 2022, Sveinn served as the Company’s Chief Financial Officer. Under his leadership as CFO, the company went through a period of high growth and transformation, fueled by innovation and strategic acquisitions. Sveinn joined Embla Medical in 2009 and served as Director of Treasury and Corporate Development prior to being promoted to CFO in 2013.
Sveinn has extensive experience in finance and business strategy with prior roles at Marel, Kaupthing Bank, Goldman Sachs and HSH Nordbank.
Sveinn earned both his Master of Science degree in Accounting and Finance (Cand.Merc. Fin) and his Bachelor’s degree in International Business from the Copenhagen Business School.
