AOPA’s O&P Rising Stars: Recognizing Emerging Leaders in Orthotics & Prosthetics
Do you know a young O&P professional 35 or younger who is making a significant impact in the field? AOPA wants to help recognize and celebrate the rising stars of O&P!
We are excited to announce the launch of AOPA’s O&P Rising Stars initiative, designed to spotlight the innovative and trailblazing individuals shaping the future of O&P. We’re looking for dynamic individuals 35 or younger who are driving change, pushing boundaries, and demonstrating exceptional leadership in their work, whether in clinical care, research, education, advocacy, or industry advancement.
Winners will receive a complimentary registration to the AOPA 2026 O&P Leadership Conference, where in addition to the Conference, they can participate in the Emerging Leaders Pre-Conference Workshop; complimentary housing for two nights at the Leadership Conference; and a 50% registration discount for the AOPA 2026 National Assembly in Las Vegas. They will also receive a certificate, recognition on the AOPA website, in the O& P Almanac, on AOPA’s social media, and acknowledgement at the Leadership Conference.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Nominee must be 35 or younger;
- Nominee must have demonstrated significant contributions to the O&P field;
- Nominees can come from any area of O&P, including but not limited to:
- Clinical practice
- Research and innovation
- Advocacy and community outreach
- Education and mentorship
- Business administration
- Industry leadership
- Nominees should be actively involved in O&P and committed to its future growth and success.
How to Nominate:
- Provide the nominee’s full name, contact information, and current professional position.
- Describe the nominee’s accomplishments and contributions to O&P, including any specific projects, innovations, or leadership roles they have undertaken.
- Share how the nominee is shaping the future of O&P and inspiring others in the field.
- Include a short (1-2 paragraph) endorsement from a colleague or mentor who can speak to the nominee’s impact.
