AOPA Names Future Host Cities for the National Assembly through 2028

Alexandria, VA (October 3, 2024) — Today, the American Orthotic and Prosthetic Association (AOPA) announced the host cities for its National Assembly – through 2028.

2025: Orlando, FL (September 3-6)

2026: Las Vegas, NV (September 9-12)

2027: Long Beach, CA (September 22-25)

2028: Washington, DC (August 29-September 1)

AOPA strives to select attractive destinations that boast a vibrant downtown with restaurants, engaging attractions, and rich cultural experiences. In selecting host cities, AOPA carefully considers several factors: the convention center facilities and available space; date availability; hotel packages and costs; flight load; climate; and geographic location. Additionally, AOPA aims to establish strong partnerships with the host city to welcome and deliver new experiences for attendees.

Since 1917, AOPA has been the largest non-profit organization consisting of more than 2,000 patient care facilities and suppliers that together manufacture, distribute, design, fabricate, fit, and provide clinical care for patients using orthoses (orthopedic braces) and prostheses (artificial limbs).  The National Assembly is the country’s longest serving and largest meeting for the orthotic, prosthetic and pedorthic profession with concurrent sessions for Orthotists, Prosthetists, Pedorthists, Technicians, Business Owners and Managers, and an exhibit hall packed with the latest products, services, and technology.

“AOPA is excited to have locked in these host cities, some new and some old for us, but they all will be great experiences for our attendees,” said Eve Lee, MBA, CAE, Executive Director, AOPA. “We look forward to partnering with these cities to showcase each city’s unique brand of hospitality. The National Assembly is the big event for the O&P profession in the U.S., providing the opportunity to learn and network and ultimately, shape the future of the profession. Host cities are critical partners to the success of our event.”

Securing host cities in advance enables the O&P profession to proactively plan their future professional development and engagement opportunities and gives AOPA and the host cities time to collaborate to ensure the best experience for all.
