AOPA is celebrating its 100th Anniversary in 2017 and we are pulling out all stops during the September 6-9 World Congress, where we will showcase significant milestones of the Association and Profession through our “Walk Through Time” historical display as well as awards to honor those who have made a significant contribution to patient care through the invention of a device or technique. The deadline for submissions is May 31, 2017.
Your opinion matters and we encourage the profession to share their thoughts through our easy nomination process.
As you consider what has transformed the field in the past 100 years, nominations can include an individual inventor or innovator of a specific device or invention, or an innovative process or technique.
Nominate an inventor or innovator now.
For the individuals to be honored at the World Congress, the AOPA Executive Committee will select the winners from the pool of nominations.
The Executive Committee will be using this criteria to select winners:
- The nominee’s invention’s impact on patient care
- The nominee’s contribution to, and influence on, the field of O&P
- The degree of originality of the invention/innovation
- Endurance of the invention/innovation (standing the test of time)
